I'm currently in love with this Cowshed cow pat moisturising hand cream! What a moo-a-licious name (excuse the lame joke) ha! Cow pat's pretty much everything you'd want from a hand cream. The consistency is not too thick nor too thin. It absorbs into the skin quite fast. It leaves my dry hands literally quite velvety smooth and soft. It smells very interesting, in a good way, off course. I'm no connoisseur in the scent department so I'm not going to go into describing it but I can safely say it's quite grape fruity. And I only know this because that's what it says on the bottle: 'with essential oils of grapefruit and coriander', ha, ha! It kind of reminds me of REN's grapefruit scented body wash and lotion with the additional/unusual (but good) twist of coriander, an herb that I usually associate with garnishing curry, up till now that is. It isn't one bit greasy either.
It's paraben, petrochemical & sulphate free and is suitable for vegetarians. I'm not too fussed about a product being natural but I'm quite fussy when it comes to products being vegetarian friendly. I don't want pig fat, cow gelatine and whatever other animal extracts in products that I use on my face, body or hair. How 'MEAT-Y' is the name though? 'COWshed/COWpat/grubbyCOW'. Moooooo!! Contradiction much, n'est pas?
There's a tiny little con though, for me anyway. If I accidentally squeeze out too much product the smell gets a little too overpowering. That's partly my fault I guess, I always use too much when all you really need is a dime sized amount because a little goes a long way with this product.
