I first mentioned this product in my home made lip scrub post (if you don't know what I'm talking about click here) and a lot of people were asking what it was! The eight hour cream is a 'skin protectant' and pretty much all the makeup artists in the world have this product in their kit.
It's got a balmy/gel like consistency and is orange like you can see in the picture! It can be used for everything from minor skin irritations, chapped lips, excessively dry lips, sunburns, windburns according to what it says on the tube itself and it's extremely effective too.
People always ask me what's a good product to keep dry/chapped lips in check. Well this is it! It’s a miracle cream and my holy grail lip product. I use it all the time and it's permanent home is in my handbag.
Whenever I'm traveling I could do without any product except for this. Being on a plane is all sorts of bad for your skin so whenever I am on one I continuously use this on my lips, my elbows, hands, arms and feet! It might be a bit much for some people to use it excessively like that but my skin feels severely dehydrated on the plane and this locks the moisture and soothes any dryness or irritation. I must warn you though that it does get sticky!
This product also saves my life whenever I get a cold! You're probably thinking what the heck?! Well let me explain! Whenever I have a cold I get a super runny nose which means I go through tons of Kleenex boxes which obviously takes a toll on my nose getting it all scratched up and redder than Rudolph's! I use it on my nose throughout my cold and it keeps it from getting dry and flaky! Even though it wastes a lot of product because I'm literally wiping away each time I blow my nose it helps prevent any dry flakiness around the nose area which would take longer to go away than the cold itself otherwise!
I also use this as eyebrow gel, cuticle cream, lipgloss, lipstick primer and if I ever get a cut, scab or a minor burn I put some Eight hour cream on top and then seal it with a band-aid!
Apparently Miss Arden used this cream on scrapes and wounds for her horses and they healed within eight hours! There's also another story where one of Miss Arden's friends used this on a cut/scrape her son got and it healed within eight hours! Either way, thats how it gets the 'eight hour cream' title!!
The Eight Hour Cream is also very easily available, it's always in the duty free shopping catalogues on the plane and there are Elizabeth Arden counters pretty much in every department store! They specifically make a lipstick/lip balm version of the same product but I've never tried it! Also, did I tell you it lasts forever and ever and ever and ever! I've had mines for almost a year now and it’s still got a little bit left! x

Nice, ill give this a go. Can i buy it from any normal store?
